Helllo, thanks for visiting us
today! I am looking forward
to meeting you and hope that
you will join the Team.  I am a
Donor Mom and on November
24, 1996 my life was changed
forever when two of my daughters
were involved in an aoto accident.
As re received the news that our
Amanda was brain dead, we were
asked to consider donation.  It
didn't take a minute to know what
she would have wanted.  Amanda
was just 16 but loved helping people.
We knew she was in heaven; and
her organs saved the lives of three
people that very day.

I have been attending the Games
since 1998.  Being around not just
other donor families, but the Athletes
confirms that we made the right deci
sion. The Athletes and Donors alike
give me renewed strength each time
I attend and the Team is a whole
new extensioin of my family. I hope
that you too will become a part of our
family.

Kim Collins, Team Manager

Hi and welcome to Team
Oklahoma, I too am looking forward
to meeting you! I lost my kidney
function to Lupus and am a 3x
kidney recipient. I received one
kidney each from my Dad & Sister
and one from an unknown donor;
all within the past 20 yrs, with
the most recent one from my
Sister, Connie, on August 16,
2001. Team Oklahoma and the
Transplant Games are my passion.
I have experienced, first hand,
all of the wonderful aspects of
the Games both as the Manager
and as an Athlete. They are an
amazing experience and I come
away rejuvinated every time I
attend. Being in the company
of thousands of other recipients
and Donor families is inspirational
to say the least. I am not athletic
by any means so I don't attend to
win (I have already won in this
Game of Life) - I attend because
the Games are the best way to
show the world the "Good" side
of transplantation. What better
way is there than competing in
the "Olympic" style "Games" for
transplant recipients. We can
show the world that we are
capable of anything even though we have a transplant.
